Panmure RFC 1XV 23 - 26 Kinross RFC 1XV
A first win for the boys this season - on the road to Panmure! It was a tough match with the weather in Sunny Dundee not living up to its name giving us a real taste of the winter rugby to come later in the season. Both teams were desperate for the win, neither having achieved one so far this season, which made for some great rugby!
The first half didn't look good for Kinross as Panmure scored 3 times in the first 13 minutes - converting only one - giving them a 17-0 lead. However, we kicked into gear at the 20th minute with Captain Ryan Robertson going over for the try, swiftly converted by John McMurdo.
Half Time - 17-7
With the change in direction came a new Kinross team through a host of substitutions but no scores. Huge work defensively meant that Panmure could only come away with 2 penalties - 23-7.
Our game turned around in the 58th minute with a try from Dan Hawkins, converted by John McMurdo. We were playing on the front foot then and Panmure had no defence left. Angus Macpherson went over in the corner for another 5, quickly followed by Alfred Likuceva with a try on his Kinross debut and another conversion from John McMurdo.
Full Time - 23-26
