The Grangemouth Stags got the game under way with a high ball which was well collected by Jonathan Taylor, what made the change from wing to back-row. The homesters came out the blocks with great ambition and aggression to put Grangemouth under early pressure - something the top of the table side were not expecting! The boys fromt he KGV were rewarded for their efforts as Gavin Hardie slotted a difficult penalty to give Kinross the first points of the day. Sadly Kinross were unable to sustain the pressure which led to countless unforced errors from the home side. The Stags capatilsed on these mistakes and ran in 6 tries in the first half despite the defensive efforts of the boys from the KGV.

At half time Kinross tightened their defence keen to ensure the match did not run away from them anymore than it already had, it was a half of damage limitation. The result was the Stags scoring half as many tries in the second half crossing the line a further 3 times before the full time whistle.
Man of the match was Andrew Stewart for his suberb defensive effort and his turnover skills at the breakdown.
